Rachel Kohn, LCSW
Rachel Kohn is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a member of the National Association of Social Workers. She graduated with her Bachelors Degree in Psychology in 2008 and with her Masters Degree in Social Work in 2011 from Florida Gulf Coast University. She graduated with honor of Magna Cum Laude and was a member of Phi Kappa Honor Society. Her internship included providing group and individual therapy at the Children’s Advocacy Center to children, adolescents, families, and survivors coping trauma and abuse.
Rachel moved to the Central Florida area in 2011 and has worked in Community Mental Health in inpatient and outpatient settings for over three years. She has worked with a diverse population including children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric age groups. She is culturally sensitive, compassionate, and experienced in several treatment modalities. Rachel specializes in the treatment of depression, anxiety, trauma, bipolar, and other co-occurring disorders.
Rachel uses an eclectic approach in treatment as she believes that each person is unique and responsive to individualized treatment. She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral, Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral, Solution Focused, Person-Centered, Gestalt, and other therapeutic approaches. Rachel provides individual, couples and family therapies to best meet the needs of her patients. Rachel believes that everyone has the right to find happiness, peace, and balance in life and would like to support the journey to your best self.
