    General Psychiatrist De Leon

    Born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, Dr. De Leon obtained his B.S. degree in Industrial Microbiology from the University of Puerto Rico. Soon after, he joined the US ARMY where he served as part of the Military Intelligence Corps. While still serving in the military, Dr. De Leon was accepted at the Universidad Central del Caribe School of Medicine with a full scholarship from the United States Public Health Service. He completed his MD before going to Duke University to specialize in child & adolescent psychiatry.

    Dr. De Leon has held faculty appointments at University of Massachusetts School of Medicine and Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he has lectured on topics such as transcultural issues in psychiatry and emotional development.

    Dr. De Leon’s clinical interests are wide and diverse and he is well trained to treat many conditions for all ages. He specializes in ADHD, Bipolar Disorders, PTSD. He is the only child & adolescent psychiatrist in the practice.

    Dr. De Leon holds a license to practice medicine in Florida, is Board Certified in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and is a fellow of the America Psychiatric Association.
